| The Los Angeles Irish Set Dancers (LAISD) group was formed in July 2000 by Michael Patrick Breen from Derradda, Newport, County Mayo, Ireland.
The Los Angeles Irish Set Dancers are proud to have promoted Irish culture through performances and workshops at numerous events since their formation in July 2000. Check our Performance page for a partial listing of past performances. The group traveled to Miltown Malbay, County Clare, Ireland in July 2001, 2002 & 2003 to participate in the Willie Clancy Summer School An annual Irish Music and Dance Festival attended by musicians and dancers from all over the world.
In April of 2002 members of the group traveled to St. Louis to participate in the Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann National Convention and in 2003 members attended the Boston Convention.
